A total of 1,520 students have been named to the Dean's List at East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania (ESU) for the Spring 2019 semester of the 2018-2019 academic year, according to Joanne Bruno, J.D., provost and vice president for academic affairs. Students eligible for the Dean's List are those who have attained a 3.50 quality point average or better and are enrolled full-time. SUNY Oneonta's scholarship funds total over $60 million and are the result of contributions from donors, corporations and foundations. East Stroudsburg University's Madelon Powers Gallery will feature art works and portfolios of advanced students in the university art+design department in a Senior Seminar and Portfolio in Art Student Exhibition April 29 -May 8. The exhibition will include works produced by students completing independent study projects and works from selected art+design classes.

A group of Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) students and faculty members from SUNY Delhi traveled to Charleston, WV, in October 2018 to volunteer for Remote Area Medical (RAM), a non-profit organization providing free immunizations and medical, dental, and vision care to uninsured and under-insured populations. 196 Students Receive Susan Sutton Smith Award
A total of 196 students received the SUNY Oneonta 2018-2019 Susan Sutton Smith Award for academic excellence. To be eligible for the award, a student must be a freshman, sophomore or junior with a grade-point average of 3.9 or higher. Student award winners receive a certificate, a gift card to the campus bookstore, and an invitation to attend the annual Susan Sutton Smith Lecture and reception. Dr. Tracy Betsinger, associate professor of biological anthropology, will deliver this year's Susan Smith Lecture titled, "Babies Are Us: What Can We Learn from Fetuses and Infants from History and Prehistory," on Tuesday, April 9, 7 p.m. in the Otsego Grille, Morris Conference Center on campus.

Students Graduate from SUNY Delhi
More than 250 students graduated from SUNY Delhi in December 2018. SUNY Delhi's hands-on approach to teaching and learning includes over 60 academic programs in specialized areas, including applied technologies, nursing, veterinary sciences, applied sciences, and liberal arts. SUNY Delhi offers certificates, associate's degrees, bachelor's degrees, as well as master's degrees in a combination of on-campus and online settings. SUNY Oneonta Habitat for Humanity club serves over spring break
Twelve members of SUNY Oneonta's Habitat for Humanity club spent their spring break building houses in Vero Beach, Florida. The students worked closely with the Indian River Habitat for Humanity, helping build and refurbish homes and volunteer in any way they could. They also spent time at the "ReStore," where they organized, moved and sold at a discount items that had been donated. Habitat for Humanity members took over the SUNY Oneonta Snapchat for a day to give their peers an inside look at their work.

Journalism student presents project on Brazil and autism to Pulitzer Center
Journalism student Amanda Gordon, who was selected as a 2018 Pulitzer Center Student Fellow while a student at Westchester Community College, presented her reporting on autism in Brazil at the 2018 Pulitzer Center Student Fellow Washington Weekend, Oct. 26-28, 2018.
